“Mum, Dad – would you like to come and see me treat a rhino in Amakhala Game Reserve ? ”
Bit of a surprise, since this was only 2 weeks after Chris set off for her internship at the vet practice there , and the message then was ” I’ll be working 6-7 days a week, so no point you planning to come out “.
But – a pretty GOOD surprise.
So we scrambled to sort out flights, hire car, accomodation in the reserve (and in Capetown for the second week).
And we are on the way !!
Early entry in the Bits Dropping Off section –
LNER carelessly broke a line somewhere round Retford, so we are currently steaming towards Sheffield to take the scenic route to London and onwards to T5.
