Welcome, ma leedle British(*) chums , to another series of Eurotransit ! Jean Paul and I ( ok, Lianne) are back in the Caravan of Love , and in a post-modern nod to Hitchcock, we are heading South-by-South-East . We’ve got as far as Essex, that natural wonderland clinging modestly to the outskirts of Harwich. It’s quite wet.
Big test of the day was to find out if the fancy new lithium leisure battery and solar charger will keep the van electrics going any better than the old lead acid version. At least it hasn’t blown up or shorted out yet, and did manage to run the water pump and lighting when we pitched up, so a cautious thumbs up from the Management. Though I’ve been told to stop whittering on about the exciting monitor data it provides. But be honest, who can resist this as a conversation starter ?
