Last day of the holiday proper on Saturday, 29th June. A morning cycle out to the local lake, took us over this memorable pass :

Have to say that cycling here has been a real joy – plenty of small, quiet, scenic , well-paved roads, hilly enough to be interesting but not exhausting. Even though there isn’t much evidence of dedicated cycleways, the majority of motorists are very considerate. Then there are the delightful place names to savour – like this even more intriguingly-named village we passed later that morning
Mash

Sorry.
Jam
Then, with a rainy afternoon predicted, the campsite owner told us there was an open mic/ jam session organised in nearby village of Menassère. Anything to get us out of earshot. We were over there before you could say “Country Roads”

Eat Trout to Help Out
And to round it all off, we had dinner at a trout fishery (and eatery) just down the road . Very tasty 😋.
So now it’s just a drive back to cloggie land for a couple of weeks family time, before heading home ….

I showed this to the goats and they were terrified and impressed in equal measure. No pics of the massy beast though?
What flavour of jam did you go for?
