An odd experience to watch England’s Euro24 semifinal against Holland while staying with Lianne’s family. Even odder when, just as Holland were getting on top, another unexpected last minute winner was produced , and the locals went a bit quiet. General Dutch consensus is that England got v lucky with penalty award and will be stuffed by Spain on Sunday. There’s also a petition here that England be disqualified from the Euro’s anyway, as they are no longer part of Europe.

Anyhow, not much else to report over the last week – weather pretty rubbish, have picked up summer cold , but an opportunity to catch up on crosswords ( I always bring a stack of old newspaper puzzle pages in the van) , guitar, flat cycling, and reading. Max is enjoying working abroad from home offices in 3 different houses.
