Well, the Yorkshire – Harwich- Hoek v Holland – Brabant etape has been successfully negotiated. Nasty moment in a complete downpour on a 5 lane motorway round Rotterdam as we had to cross 3 of the lanes in zero visibility to get our exit ( on the left ?!? ) , otherwise uneventful. We’ve also had a Belgian gas canister (Calypso) delivered which is the only one I could find with compatible propane connection to the van, so we are all fuelled up. Current phase is buying up most of the meat and bread in Brabant for a celebration BBQ on Saturday for all the local family members – gezellig , as they say.

And now settled in a nice quiet campsite on outskirts of Lianne’s old village …. Enjoying the traffic calming measures and copious cycle paths, obvs.

Wouldn’t have fancied that exit on motorway! Glad you made it!
Let’s know how the family gathering and further birthday celebrations go! Hope Brabant manages on the meagre supplies of bread and meat 😂
