Well … we go up IT.
Right good yomp up to highest peak in the Vosges, Grand Ballon, at 1400m. Glorious views to the Black Forest ( East) and Swiss Alps ( South) . MapMyRide claims we climbed over 1000m and my legs aren’t going to argue with that.

About 2km from the end, Lianne tripped and landed face down on a rocky track – horrible to see. She did manage to get a hand to block most of the impact but her lip and cheek are looking a bit battered. She is being very brave
Light relief
Winner of the “Irony in Sign-Writing” Award . This was by a precipitous waterfall, about 5km up a rocky walking track. If I had dragged a caravan all that way, a green sign would not stop me setting it up there.
Looks a stunning place but ouch that sounds really painful. Hope she’s ok
