Got lucky with a campsite close to Tours. This one is just south of the city ( in Montbazon) , on the Indre river. The site was 80% empty at this late stage of the season so we were able to bag an isolated pitch right next to the river …. From where we’ve spotted kingfishers, plus the odd “really ought to be packing for Africa, lads, but no rush eh ?” swallow
Yesterday morning (Thursday) forecast was wet again, so decided on a city day. Caught bus into Tours and looked round the old city. It has some real jewels ! And the weather had a few dry spots…
