Our last day in the region , and Lianne planned a Final Friday Cycle Circuit that started right from the camp site – part of a marked “Tour de Verdon” route. Some challenging climbs but a 10km downhill to finish which was exhilarating
Back at the site we packed up the awning which was miraculously dry – the cloud burst must have been very localised. Then enjoyed a quick dip in the pool , exiting just as the under 5s swimming lesson began – as you do.
We will miss this site, it’s been great. Peaceful, well-equipped, beautifully located – and Pitch 43 is the one you want , should you happen to be camping round Castellane in future.
