well mate, it looks like you have a hot red wire (much more exciting than a hot red date) connected via a fuse to a negative black wire via a bit of blue wire and magic tape. Looks very professional. Certainly ABYC approved. Looking forward to hearing how it all worked out.
It does look quite exciting, doesn’t it ? Always have to be careful around a hot red (orange) wire (wife). You might be surprised that this isn’t even a bit of wiring that I did – it’s as delivered with the van. Apparently to enable a 20amp fuse to be inserted in the battery circuit. Can’t trace where the black wire comes from, but presumably the positive terminal of central power distribution system. It seems to work, or did until I replaced the solar charger, when everything died for a while. Eventually decided to bypass the control system, wired the solar charger direct to the new battery, and all is good. (See later post).
