The Plan
We still cheated, of course, by first taking the nearest cable car up to Gimmelwald , but that still left 800m of climbing to do.
And though the my phone navigation started playing up again, I successfully reset GPS Data using GPS STATUS app ( Top tip of this happens to your phone – a free app from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2 ).
Over the course of the next mile or so it gradually realigned itself with the map on my phone. Might be coincidence, might not.
It was a stunning walk, our favourite so far .
We are following your walks with envy – but you are giving Richard – and his bionic knees – something to aim for!
Actually, after about 10 days my own knee started to complain a bit. The scree slopes are quite testing. But with a $6M knee upgrade, he’ll be fine 😄
