Isinfluh & Alpiglen ( a lesser known Shakespearean drama)

Tue 17 & Weds 18th

I realise we have been remiss in not posting updates on  two earlier walking days so here’s a brief summary.

Editorial Warninghaving forcibly suppressed the puns from previous postings, I’m afraid they are back with a vengeance today. It won’t be pretty . Sorry, Mrs T !

Isinfluh

A quiet area down at the northern end of our valley provided a sunny, wooded descent, and unpronounceable name.

Nice.

Alpiglen

This one started by taking the Royal Ride up from Wengen to Männlichen  !

Bargain upgrade at less than a fiver

This means you get to ride on the open top deck of the cable car – a must-do for vertigo sufferers !

Luckily there was no wind

And on the walk down we saw some exotic  wildlife ( by our standards).

A) Marmots !

About as convincing as a 70s “Big Foot”sighting, I know …. You had to be there. And have a decent camera with you.

B) obscure bird life !

Having checked up on something looking like a monochrome Jay, it turns out we also Spotted a Nutcracker ! Photo courtesy of the Merlin app –

The Nutcracker –  sweet !! (Apologies to Tchai Corvidsky)

c) And Finally …

….as is traditional :

That’s right , that’s right, that’s right , that’s right- it’s another picture of the Eiger !

That’s neat – we really love those Eiger Feet

Ah well – You Were Warned.
